IEMP & The President's eGov Initiatives
One of the benefits of Integrated Enterprise Management Program will be NASA processes that operate more accurately and rapidly. The agency will be able to use its resources more efficiently. However, the real benefit of the Program is the platform it provides for the future: changing the way NASA does business. IEMP will help NASA capture the efficiencies of e-Government while opening a new spectrum of possibilities for collaboration among internal and external stakeholders. IEMP will serve as the NASA "back office" by providing real-time financial and other information that can be used by NASA partners, suppliers, and customers while conducting business. Other NASA initiatives, such as OneNASA, will rely upon IEMP to provide the information needed to make collaboration a success. IEMP will enable a shift to NASA/e-business within NASA, based on improved information and data exchange capabilities.
